Business Analyst

· Create product documentation for end users and system administrators

· Author in a variety of environments

· Research, write, and ensure the accuracy of content that covers current and future releases of our product

· Analyze current product documentation to determine usability and make improvements as indicated

· Continuously improve documentation by responding to and incorporating feedback from customers and internal users

· Collaborate with the internal teams on release cadence and content


· An obsession with accuracy

· Ability to author and publish production-ready content under pressure on a fast cadence

· Proven experience making technical content accessible to audiences with mixed levels of expertise

· Ability to learn highly technical products quickly, using pre-release software and internal documentation

· Understanding of source control systems and maintaining multiple versions of content

· Experience working in Scrum/Agile development environments

· Ability to obtain information through research, interviews, and experimentation

· Ability to work with geographically distributed team members and developers

· Motivation and ability to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

· Self-direction, flexibility, and an eagerness to learn

· Experience with programming or scripting languages (Java, JavaScript)

· Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues, and working with managers to discuss technical problems

· Researches and builds knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented

· Determines the clearest and most logical way to present information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes and edits technical information accordingly

· Prepares or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate on or complement technical writing

· Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that specialised topics are appropriately addressed and discussed

· Revises, edits, or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary

· Creates, adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines
