Candidate can live anywhere in the US but will likely need to work Eastern Time zone hours.
They prefer people with extensive experience in the Life and Annuities field. Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in this field and it must be their primary focus. People who have bounced around a bunch of different industries are not a fit. We want dedicated Life/annuities Business Analysts.
Keys to the job:
Deep knowledge of Annuities Fixed, Adjustable, Variable, etc
Must have direct working knowledge of Life and annuities administration systems. Either have worked in the development of such systems or in transitions from one system to another. If they do not have solid understanding and demonstrable experience with an Administration system for Life/annuities, they are not a fit. Do not send.
his job will have the following responsibilities:
Write program design specifications based on requirements
Designs new computer software by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing technical specifications and business designs
Creates original work products with minimal supervision utilizing strong insurance industry knowledge
Improves systems by studying current practices; designing technical modifications and communicating those to the programming teams
Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
Work closely with senior technical, project, and account management areas on solution designs
Advanced ability to negotiate and resolve occasional business conflicts and address organizational challenges and evolving accountability
Create business analysis and quality assurance deliverables such as requirements, business designs, procedures, test plans and test scripts in a project, matrixed environment.
Read code and recommend design modifications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Completed Bachelor''s degree
Extensive experience with life insurance & annuities
Willingness to travel for training out of state at the start of the contract
insurance domain must
