JOB DESCRIPTION:
Required knowledge of Bioinformatics and Clinical Lab Industry.
Responsible for analysis and evaluation of user business problems and development of system recommendations to meet requirements.
Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for business application development.
Interviews end users to obtain and document the detailed business requirements for projects.
Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
Combines understanding of IT and business processes to recommend solutions.
Assignments typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and implementation of systems to meet business and user requirements.
Experience developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential. Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required. Skills Required:
6+ yrs of experience. Practical/technical experience preferred. Fluent in modern digital technologies such as cloud, mobility, apps, social media and networking, information, and usability. Clear and concise communication skills Experience in the bioinformatics field A seasoned/experienced BA, able to work independently with minimal information What technical skills are required to do this job? Some prior development or Database, SQL hands on experience (preferred) Microsoft Visio (preferred) MS Project (not required) Agile / JIRA (preferred) What are the top 3 to 5 daily responsibilities for this position? Being able to take point and facilitate user discussions to define requirements, with minimal supervision and information (to start with) Being able to research and follow up independently, starting with minimal information Building and managing business partner relationships, setting expectations, and regular follow up.
