The Business Analyst is a mid-level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in ServiceNow.
The client provides technology services to state agencies and other government customers across North Carolina. One of the services provided through DIT to our customers is IT Service Management (ITSM) which delivers a cost-effective, reliable, scalable, secure, feature-rich software tool that can be used by state agencies to manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes in support of customer’s and lines of business. This service is being transitioned to leverage a new software platform and the state is seeking an experienced Business and Systems Analyst to support the efforts of the implementation and service delivery team as the service is transitioned to be delivered leveraging the ServiceNow platform.
The Analyst will work in close coordination with process owners within the organization to understand needs and expectations and assist the implementation team in configuring the platform to meet those needs. The effort will leverage an Agile methodology and the Analyst will be a key team member during implementation, testing and training efforts as the service is launched on the new platform.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
A strong knowledge of business processes within the IT Service Management domain.
Experience supporting business applications delivered on the ServiceNow platform.
Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies including user story development, defining acceptance criteria and backlog management.
Experience supporting user acceptance testing and user training activities.
The ability to plan and monitor analysis work.
The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution; 5 years of experience in IT business analysis work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
