Job Description :
Position: Business Analyst II
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Duration: 6 Months

General Position Summary:
Under limited to little supervision serves as the key support role between Business Operations and defined groups of application users and contributes to projects as assigned. Works closely with assigned users to meet their information needs and address their system application issues.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Recognizes and solves for various problems and opportunities for improvement, contributing to the remediation and consulting with teammates on more complex issues.
Works closely with assigned user communities and peers to determine their information system needs and develop solutions utilizing or modifying existing system capabilities, or developing new system and process workflow ideas.
Troubleshoots and articulates reporting needs using available reporting tools such as DBMS, Cache SQL Reports, and Microsoft Office Tools. Suggests other business operation resources as needed.
Coordinates with end users, internal operation resources and external vendors as needed on application upgrades.
Assists in test plans development and unit testing as needed.
Participates in documentation development to support on-going maintenance and upkeep of applications.
Works with end-users individually or in small-sized groups to improve their ability to utilize system capabilities, determine problems and develop appropriate solutions.
Holds self-accountable for clear understanding and achievement of individual and departmental mission and goals.
Supports practices, policies and operating procedures and ensures alignment to departmental objectives and strategy.
Utilizes effective communication across all levels of the organization (both upward and downward) with the appropriate message, the right tone and the appropriate level of impact.
Ability to make the complex seem less complex, is a consensus builder. Ensures teammates and supervisors have the information needed and the context needed to produce favourable results.
Builds strong relationships with peers, user communities and management.

Role is not supervisory

Specific Job Skills and Experience:
o Minimum 3-5 years in HealthCare IT or Operations
o Virence Centricity Business application experience
o Proficiency with various report-writing tools (DBMS, Cache SQL, SQL, and Microsoft Office Tools
Preferred: Project management experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
