JOB Title: Business Analyst II

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: Full Time

Major Duties and Responsibilities:-

Acts on behalf of the business owner or product owner to meet the needs of
the Scrum Development Team and assure product delivery
Develops a clear understanding of the customer''s needs and defines a
Product Backlog
Constantly re-prioritizes the Product Backlog based on customer feedback,
market changes and business priority.
Determines the appropriate product Release Date and Content
Actively manage internal and external stakeholders
Accept or reject the product teams work results at each Sprint Review
meeting
Maintain a basic knowledge of software development
Provide regular reporting including product spend, scope, schedule and
planning
Manages the integration and communications among applications, databases
and technology platform teams
Administers company technology practices, standards and procedures
Manages an inventory of technology related assets hardware, software,
application systems, databases, licenses, products
Makes decisions based on documented business opportunities, benefits,
risks, and success factors of potential applications
May manage a portfolio of development projects with implication to cost
reduction initiatives
Analyzes a variety of work processes and associated document and
information flow for strategic recommendation to leadership
Oversees group that defines and implements new or enhanced applications
into a production environment
Manages Third Party relationships with software integratorsSkills and
Abilities
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
Experience in software Product Development (Products having a graphical
user interface is a must. Applications delivered to a mobile phone
preferred. Customer facing websites secondary
Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities
A strong understanding of software Agile methodologies
A clear ability to manage a range of different personality types in a
facilitative and mature manner
Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate
constructively to all levels of the organization
Strong listening and written and oral communication skills
A proven ability to plan, undertake and finish activities to achieve high
quality results
The desire to be part of and contribute to a team environment
Demonstrated commitment to keeping sensitive information confidential
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees

Familiarity with company''s information architecture and information
management methodologies
Proven experience developing product requirements using an Agile
project/software development lifecycle methodology (User Stories preferred)
Extremely high level of sound logic and analytical ability where problems
are very unusual and difficult
Highly developed oral and written communication skillsExperience
Likely representation experience of 3+ products
Likely 4+ years of experience
Intermediate regarding skill mastery
The candidate must have the following skillset/attributes:
Experience creating user experience artifacts such as user stories,
storyboards and wireframes
Problem solving skills to facilitate a shared understanding of problems,
possible solutions, and determine the scope of any required changes
Critical thinking skills for evaluating multiple options and helping a
team settle on problem solutions. Ability to listen to stakeholder needs but
also critically consider those needs and ask probing questions until the
real need or problem is surfaced and understood.
Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude in business and consumer
applications.
Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities.
A strong understanding of software Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
to interact with a diverse group of technical architects, developers and
QA/SMEs.
Ability to work in across diverse teams and produce excellent results in a
fast paced environment
Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical
addressees.
Jira, HP/ALM experience is beneficial

Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Work experience in Android/Mobile App development is a plus.
Job Responsibilities include:
Define/Document & Represent User Stories and other artifacts to various
development communities throughout development lifecycle
Constantly re-prioritize the Product Backlog based on customer feedback,
market changes and business priority
Engage daily with various development communities during the product
development lifecycle in order to provide User Story (requirements)
clarification and immediate feedback upon
completion
Coordinate and facilitate necessary interactions in order to obtain
answers, provide direction, or eliminate impediments during product
development
Confirm product meets User Story and design intent as part of Scrum Sprint
exit criteria
Prepare and maintain artifacts associated with development progress such
as backlog burn-up chart
Help to capture information pertaining to development progress and
productivity
Help to determine potential release content and release date
Help monitor and determine the product market impact in order to help
determine future product direction
Coordinate corrective action in response to negative product market impact
due to product defects
Help facilitate Scrum events such as backlog refinement, daily stand-up,
sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
Experience in bringing closure of action items and ability to follow-up on
different artifacts with multiple teams in the organization.

Education:

Bachelor''s in Computer Science, Engineering or related is Required.
Master''s in Computer Science, Engineering or related is a plus.
