Business Analyst needed for Oil & Gas client in downtownHouston, TX 77022
On behalf of our client, a growing midstream company, Procom Services is looking for on (1) Business Analyst with Application experience. The successful candidate will have 10 years plus experience with supporting the requirements gathering and application development process within the framework of a large project with a deliverable of a custom written system related to contracting, nominations, scheduling, allocations and billing.
Business Analyst Job Details
* Support the requirements gathering and application development process within the framework of a large project with a deliverable of a custom written system related to contracting, nominations, scheduling, allocations, billing, and retainage collection for several of the client s pipeline and storage assets.
* Communicate and collaborate with system stakeholders and users to analyze/interpret business requirements and translate the needs into software application requirements under an Agile environment.
* Work with business clients towards business process improvement objectives during the execution of an application development project.
* Must be a forward thinker, with a vision and deep understating of how software systems design can best meet the needs of today s dynamic natural gas market.
* Maintain a good understanding of how support of pipeline and storage systems commercial transitions can be implemented effectively in commercial system software/
* Potentially assist in training Internal Personnel and Customer Representatives on commercial software system features.
* Works with Commercial Services, Leaders, and other immediate team members to troubleshoot software issues and implement solutions.
* Demonstrate a functional expertise and act as the effectively project-embedded SME in specific commercial transactional areas.
* Ability to quickly determine when deviations or anomalies can lead to problems.
* Applies formal planning and analysis techniques for work; thoroughly addresses all resources when planning work (including technical and non-technical aspects when analyzing work
* Initiates actions that lead to process improvements.
* Must be comfortable working with minimal direction and leading collaboration across varied stakeholder groups within a project.
* Must be comfortable synthesizing requirements in dynamic environment of business partner engagement (meetings, workshops etc)
* Experience in leading software demonstrations in an Agile environment an asset.
