Job Description

The Business Analyst/Governance resource will implement the governance processes in support of the CMDB implementation hosted on the ServiceNow platform based on industry best practices. The CMDB is supported by a hybrid (automatic discovery & manual update) solution. The key goal of enhancing and maintaining the Drive IT CMDB is to promote increased data completeness and accuracy. The CMDB obtains its value when it contains all the configuration items in the landscape and the relationships that exist between business processes, applications, and the underlying software and hardware infrastructure.

1 Resource Roles And Responsibilities
The CMDB requires accurate data integrations and governance processes to support the completeness and accuracy of the Configuration Item (CI) data.

This position will be responsible for
Working independently to develop, manage and deliver Services described herein on time and within budget.
Elimination, optimization and creation of new governance processes to support the CMDB CIs lifecycle on both a global and regional level.
Document changes in the operating environment to support the planned changes within Drive IT
Interaction with the People Change Management (PCM) team to communicate and rollout the processes.
Work with regional leads to integrate the global governance processes into the regional operational processes

Process Definition and Management Responsibilities
A. Activities
Working with the Process and Methods and the Drive IT resources, define the global processes to maintain the CMDB
Document and receive approval for the governance processes
Adapt globally defined processes for use at regional level
Research and document changes required in the current legacy environment to support changes in Drive IT
Define CMDB governance processes

A. Skill Set
Knowledge of regional processes
Knowledge of Governance processes and best practices
Ability to manage and coordinate activities
Basic knowledge of CMDB structure

Overall Responsibilities
Gather CMDB CI Lifecycle governance process requirements on a global and regional level. Develop the CMDB CI Lifecycle governance processes that meets the global and regional requirements.
Gather and document changes required to legacy systems due to the planned changes in Drive IT.
Working closely with the Global Architecture leader, regional process teams and Drive IT, analyse current processes that support CMDB CI lifecycle.
Working closely with the Global Architecture leader, regional technical teams and Drive IT, develop an overall process strategy/topology in support of the CMDB CIs, both at an enterprise level and at a regional level.
Working closely with the Global Architecture leader, regional technical teams, Drive IT and the PCM team, coordinate the launch and support of the updated processes supporting the CMDB CIs.
Continue working with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Application Maintenance Support (AMS) teams and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) delivery teams to communicate and uphold the new, standard global processes for CMDB data creation, change and sunset of Cis

Overall Skills
Strong analytical, oral communication and technical writing abilities.
Ability to interface with managers/leaders on the operational management level of the enterprise.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
High-level English proficiency (speak/write/understand
Experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including customer requirement analysis and system design.
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment and serving as functional subject matter expert.
Knowledge of configuration management or asset management processes.
