Description:
1. Sr. Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for working closely with the data management team to elicit, document, and analyze requirements for a solution designed to enhance data access across the City and County of Denver. We have recently completed a Request for Information (RFI) study and need assistance in translating the information into meaningful requirements for the initiation of a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
The Sr. BA will work across a variety of City Agencies and key data stakeholders to ensure our immediate and long term data requirements are represented in the RFP. The ideal candidate must be an energetic, highly motivated individual with an ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The candidate must also have previous experience within a data management program.
Engagement Start Date & Duration, Weekly Hours, Work Location The start date is immediate through January 31, 2019. The engagement will be 40 hours per week reporting to Sr Manager
The start date, billing rate, and engagement details will be formally specified in a task order issued under the terms of the vendor’s On-Call contract with the City and County of Denver.
Expected Responsibilities: •
Requirements engineering (business, stakeholder, functional, solution and transition level requirements)
Business process design and documentation (workflow modeling, BPMN experience a plus) o Analysis of existing processes (as-is modeling) and ability to bridge to-be state processes •
Have experience in operating as a Business Analyst / Product Owner in an agile framework (such as Scrum)
Assess captured business requirements against enterprise platform capabilities (fit gap analysis)
Participation in the city’s Request for Proposal process • Rapid design and development of proof of concepts / prototypes
System and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and facilitation • Issue tracking & resolution coordination
Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate will: • Have an excellent professional attitude with strong interpersonal communication, facilitation and presentation skills • Be customer experience focused (customer empathizing) • Be highly capable in conflict resolution and negotiation • Have strong and proven background in developing Business Analysis artifacts, such as process maps, and requirements documentation • Have experience in operating as a Business Analyst / Product Owner in an agile framework (such as Scrum)
