Description:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. May require a bachelor''s degree in a related area and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Eliciting and documenting business requirements and functional specifications
Applying best practice business analysis techniques into technology solutions which add business value
Ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements with technical and business audiences
Ability to rapidly acquire and apply new knowledge
Works on one or more moderate to complex projects
May manage projects of limited scope
Assist in planning and design of solutions via requirements gathering
Lead meetings with Technology and Business Partners to gather needs and requirements
Determine and document business requirements for business processes and projects
Communicate key insights and findings to product team
Create simple workflow models and process maps based on input from multiple sources
Aligns process/procedures to best practice solutions
Help design, document and maintain system processes
Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
Analyzes current solutions/processes and identifies improvement opportunities that increase efficiencies and effectiveness
Identifies problems/issues and finds solutions
Monitors compliance and adherence to principles
Partners with business managers
Document SLAs (service level agreement) expected by Business Partners
Performing quality assurance
5-7 years experience as Business Analyst
Responsible for facilitating work sessions with the technical team
Experience with web or client facing applications
GetHub experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration required
BA certification such as CCBA, CBAP, PMI-PBA or an International Diploma in Business Analysis desired
