Description of Duties
Analyze, document and validate business requirements.
Document process flows for current / proposed processed, workflows, and data flows.
Develop functional specifications.
Prepare use cases, create and define test plans and test cases.
Interface between business and technical teams and translate technical and business requirements.
Communicates with project managers, subject matter experts and end users.
Act as the key liaison and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the project team.
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Detailed requirements (High Level Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs)
Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the development team through which requirements flow.
Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
Acts as primary liaison between Information Technology department and a single business unit
Supports the organization’s key business processes and applications
Gathers and documents business requirements for relatively small projects
Translates requirements into business, functional and use case documents for relatively small IT projects
Provides functional expertise to developers during the design and construction phases of projects
Develops and executes comprehensive system test plans, conditions, test scripts, and test cases
Maintains business systems standards by applying project management methods, tools and processes as standard practice
Creates and delivers related user documentation and end-user training

General knowledge of methodologies and techniques for systems analysis and design, business process modeling, requirements gathering, quality assurance, and software development
Familiarity with Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK)
Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience in business analysis (or equivalent experience)
PMI certification a plus
Lean or Six-sigma certification a plus
Strong customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in teams and across organizations
Demonstrated ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization
Basic analytical skills to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, consolidate details and extract to functional requirements
Demonstrated ability to effectively translate user requirements into business, functional and test scenarios for projects of various sizes and complexity
Demonstrated ability to develop and write technical documentation
