Bl Solutions Analyst supports the Bl Practitioner in the delivery of strategic value to business partners. Develop understanding of the business''s data requirements and fostering a solution with design of data integration for data visualization that meets the business''s needs for monitoring their KPls/metrics. BISA will also provide ongoing support of the Bl information infrastructure to improve the quality and enhance the value of data delivered to business for strategic business projects. Prioritize business requirements, schedule tasks, and communicate progress in a timely manner. Present findings in a logical and visual manner to all levels of the organization including executives, management, analysts, and developers. Essential duties & responsibilities are:
Business Collaboration and Drive Bl Value for Business Partners (15%)
" Provide support to the Bl Practitioner for all Bl activity for one or more business areas
" Engage with business stakeholders on all facets of Bl activity
" Consult with the business to determine information needs and identify new opportunities to use data assets and analytical tools to drive competitive advantage
Develop business case for new Bl solutions Business Requirements and Analysis (35%)
" Provide subject matter expertise of business rules, data definitions and logic. Gather and analyze requirements for Bl projects and data requests. Develop prototypes and storyboards to facilitate requirements definition. Facilitate QA and UAT activities with business and Bl Delivery teams Bl Project and Business Request ln-Take and Prioritization (25%l
" Define and initiate Bl requests for business stakeholders
" Prioritize and validate all Bl requests with the business
" Ensure quality delivery of Bl deliverables (projects, tickets)
" Collaborate with lT on enterprise projects with Bl impact
" Manage stakeholder communications, status, and expectations for Bl delivery.
Ensure Bl project closure / post-mortem Enterprise Data Governance (25%)
" Engage business partners in Enterprise Data Governance program
" Conduct review and solicit feedback of key metrrcs and KPI with business stakeholders
" Knowledge, skills and abilities:
o Experience using Business lntelligence tools relevant to business area (such as Cognos, Oracle Business lntelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), SAS, TMl, Qlikview, Omniture)
o Strong knowledge of SQL with relatronal databases (such as Teradata, Oracle; MS SQL Server)
o Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office software
o Drive Data Custodianship with key business stakeholders
o Experience using data warehouse/analytical tools for business purposes
o Strong knowledge of Business core processes/data required to drive those processes
o Strong understanding of source data (it strengths/weaknesses/semantics/formats)
o Ability to work with/effectively communicate with people at all levels of the enterprise from Executives to developer
