Job Description:
The BizTalk Server Developer designs, develops, enhances, maintains and supports Business Applications in accordance with developed business requirements and technical and business specifications across multiple assigned platforms. Considers all aspects of technical design including maintainability, scalability, backup and recovery, capacity planning, security, and privacy.
Consults with business owners to offer technical advice and analysis to assist in:
- Definition of scope, objectives, and required timeframes.
- Definition of business requirements and the development of business and functional specifications.
- Thorough testing of solutions prior to implementation including the development of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and data sets to adequately test designed solutions.
- Development of Training Plans and materials for designed solutions.
Performs analysis and consults with business owners to identify, document, and communicate:
- Root cause(s) of issues.
- Detailed impacts including performance, data corruption/loss, service quality, regulatory compliance, and necessity for reprocessing.
- Any additional issues/changes required after implementation.
- Potential risks of action/inaction and possible barriers to implementation.
- Recommended technical solutions, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Detailed activities, resources, costs, and time frames for implementation.
- Technical specifications to address all business requirements.
- Post-implementation successes, failures, and improvements.
Partners with business owners to define data, processing, refresh, and other requirements for testing accounts within assigned technical environments. Develops technical specifications and designs for development, testing, staging, and production accounts where applicable.
Actively participates in dissemination of business, technical, and industry knowledge across the IT organization and assigned Business Units.
Develops a cross functional understanding of assigned Business Applications and databases and how they interacts with other Business Applications.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in BizTalk Server including hands-on Installation, Configuration, Administration, Design and Development (including Pipelines, Schemas, Maps, Orchestration, Parties, and BRE) is required.
6+ years of experience in .Net programming (Web and Windows combined) is required.
Strong MS SQL experience required. Able to design database objects and code routines in stored procedures, and write proficient SQL queries to manipulate data for reporting.
Experience with HIPAA compliant EDI Transactions including 837, 834, 276, 277, 270, 271 and 835 is preferred.
Excellent project management, negotiation, and analytical skills required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
Bachelor’s Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an IT environment.
