Big data Architect

Job Description in detail:

· To be able to benchmark systems, analyse system bottlenecks and propose solutions to eliminate them;

· To be able to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms;

· To be able to document use cases, solutions and recommendations;

· To have excellent written and verbal communication skills;

· To be able to explain the work in plain language;

· To be able to help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of implementing projects of any kind;

· To be able to perform detailed analysis of business problems and technical environments and use this in designing the solution;

· To be able to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;

· To be a self-starter;

· To be able to work in teams, as a big data environment is developed in a team of employees with different disciplines;

· To be able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.

· To be able to select and integrate any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities

· To be able to Implement ETL process

· Excellent exposure to Hadoop

· To be able to Monitor performance and advise any necessary infrastructure changes

· To be able to Define data retention policies

· To be able to Create Requirement Analysis and choosing the platform

· To be able to Design the technical architecture and application

· To be able to Deploy the proposed Hadoop solution.

· Extensive knowledge about Hadoop Architecture and HDFS, Java Map Reduce, HBase, Hive

· Strong healthcare experience

· To be able to Assist in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.

· Knowledge of a variety of technologies and/or the ability to understand technology dependencies and manage technology integration required

· Experience working within health insurance industry.

· Experience/exposure in JIRA & Confluence

· Experience/exposure in Agile & SAFe

· Experience/exposure with APIs
