Role: Big Data Engineer – SOLR
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 12+ Months
Description:
Deliver data ingestion workflows to store data in the way that is accessible, performant, secure, and sustainable o Develop PoC’s and evaluate design options to deliver ingestion, search, meta data cataloguing and scheduling of DMP use cases
Develop solutions which enable required data capabilities leveraging DMP[ Data management platform] toolsets including python, java, spark, solr and other applicable tools.
Troubleshoot ingestion, job and workflow failures either proactively or by escalation o Assist in Data Engineering activities, implement use cases or infrastructure customizations in line with best practices and Cloudera’s reference architecture
Understand and document technical use case requirements in order to deliver DMP data movement and transformation solutions
Identify datasets required to complete use cases, including data stores which will be required for ingestion into the DMP platform.
Work with team to successfully engage and deliver value add Big Data use cases
Validate that DMP solutions adhere to defined business and technical requirements prior to release to stakeholders
