Must have skills
7+ years of overall developing experience. 3-5 years developing SQL code, HiveQL. Creating table and stored procedures. 2+ years of Hadoop development experience. Hive, Flume, Pig, Sqoop, Oozie.
Nice to have skills
Coming from a financial institution background and understanding credit card transactions
Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and optimize stored procedure code including query plans
Create, maintain, and optimize databases, schemas, tables, views, and indexes
Interact with development teams to develop SQL Server code to support the applications
Solid understanding of database replication technology
How to replicate and extract data from SQL Server to a Hadoop cluster
Create and manage Hadoop Oozie jobs
Ability to work with business teams to create the requirements for reporting, analytics and business insights and to implement those requirements
Create, maintain, and optimize HiveQL and Impala scripts
Required Skills
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
5+ years of SQL Server development experience.
2+ years of Hadoop development experience.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Good communication skills.
Certification of Big Data technologies, especially
o Hive
o Flume
o Pig
o Sqoop
o Oozie
