Job Description :
Overview:
Follow all company and plant safety rules
Promote and maintain plant 5s program
Follow and fulfill all QC requirements and work instructions
Operating other necessary equipment and performing tasks necessary to complete parts to specifications.
Review of finished assemblies & parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and bill of materials
Report fabrication issues and assist in resolution as required
Perform other duties as requested by the department manager.
Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
Verifies settings by measuring offsets and bends dimensions from drawings and charts.
Assist the Switch Point and Frog Department.

Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED diploma or vocational school equivalent
Preferred: trade certification

Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Good written and verbal skills
Minimum 0-2 years experience in fabrication with the ability to learn.
Must know how to read tape measure, calipers, and calibrated gauges.
Must be able to convert fractions and decimals.
2nd Shift but trains on 1st.
1st Shift training pay rate is $14.18; Once completed the pay will be $15.18/hourly
