Job Description :
Role:
A proactive and innovative battery program manager is needed to coordinate efforts of a multi-disciplined team, consisting of Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation, Supply Chain and Finance. This position will support the battery design, software, and test teams. The program manager should work to resolve issues internally, and quickly recognize and escalate issues that require intervention. The Program manager shall work closely with the Director and Program Management.

Examples of standard duties are: maintain and report program health, including timing and cost metrics, maintaining the team budget, unifying scheduling, and running scrum and PDT meetings.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate, organize and monitor inter-dependent Battery activities
Decide on suitable strategies and objectives
Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities
Apply change, risk and resource management
Identify and assist in cross functional issue resolution
Assess program performance and aim to maximize ROI
Prepare reports for program directors and management
Maintain and report program health, including timing and cost metrics
Chair scrum and PDT meetings
Place purchase requisitions and support sourcing activities

Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in engineering or other degree with at least 5 years’ experience in an engineering environment
3+ years of experience in program management
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise, and passion for automotive and transportation industries
Understanding of automotive industry supply chain common practices
Experience working with automotive OEMs and suppliers
Strong familiarity with SAP, Jama, JIRA, ENOVIA/CATIA, MS SharePoint, MS Project, Agile methodology

Preferred Qualifications:
MS degree in Engineering
Proven expertise in program management
Six Sigma Black Belt
Advanced MS Excel and VBA skills
Experience working cross-functionally serving both internal and external customers
Ability to understand technical engineering issues and develop resolutions
A creative curiosity, collaborative ethic, hardworking enthusiasm, and driving personal vision
Excellent communication skills and team-working mind set
A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
