ROLE: Batch Support Specialist
Location: Concord, NH


IMPORTANT:
This person will work the evening shift every other month.
The role requires the selected candidate to be flexible, as the expected work environment may require on-call, night & weekend support, and modified work schedules.

REQUIRED:
Three or more years’ experience with distributed data center operations and hands-on computer operation functions
Experience with z/OS (MVS), Linux, and Windows operating systems
Practical knowledge of ZEKE, JCL, Mule and Java web application deployments, and code/configuration migration processes
Knowledge of relational databases, file sharing/file transfer protocols, and print center/mailroom operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to perform in a team setting and as individual contributor
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Effectively communicate with other groups including helpdesk, programmers/analysts, system programmers/administrators, and other systems’ operation personnel
Flexibility to work on-call, weekend, and a non-standard work schedule
Clearly document daily status of processing cycle activities including problem resolution
Perform product and application testing

This role requires that candidates have a solid knowledge of JCL, how JCL interacts with COBOL programs, and a working knowledge of a job scheduler. While not required, experience with ASG-ZEKE Scheduler is preferred.

DESCRIPTION
Responsible for setting up and monitoring batch processing schedules
Understand servers/services and their roles in the overall solution
Readily adjust to changes in a fluid solution architecture
Interface with technical teams for trouble shooting batch and online issues
Provide analysis, support advice, and recommendations from an operational perspective
Strictly follow established procedures for work functions
Provide technical assistance and training

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES: Perform batch related duties for both Maintenance and Amendment related work.
