Duration – 12 Months Plus Approx.
JOB – DESCRIPTION –
Role: Mainframe Operations performing Batch Monitoring and Recovery for the Mainframe environment: Must have prior experience and working knowledge in some or all activities: troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning, and/or configuring relevant technologies. In depth knowledge in at least one or more of the following areas: zOS, MVS, JCL, scheduling packages, software, application, database or other technologies.
Skills: Batch SME for external customer. Excellent knowledge of MVS batch processing monitoring and recovery. Very good knowledge of CA7, ESP, Job track, Endeavor, JCL, CICS, JES, IMS, DB2, TSO/ISPF, SDSF, ServiceNow, OpsMVS, SharePoint and associated utilities. Ability to be the team’s technical leader and focal point for the customer. Analyze Problems/Situations and assist in the escalation and resolution. Identify and report abnormal batch processing, Pervasive Abends and work with support or the customer for a permanent solution. Excellent verbal and written skills which are required for customer facing position.
