BUSINESS ANALYST SHAREPOINT ONLINE
Location – Renton WA – local candidates only – in-person interview required
Duration – 6 months

POSITION SUMMARY
This Business Analyst will work in the Global Portal Project as part of an Agile Team, and will support the Product Owner in translating customer expectations into system requirements and acceptance criteria than can be delivered by the SharePoint Online development team.
The successful candidate will be highly self-directed, an excellent problem-solver and able to work with all levels of the organization. Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are required.
SharePoint Online product knowledge and experience in working in distributed agile projects is required.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and communicate business needs in order to analyze and develop technical solutions that meet these needs.
Identify dependencies between projects and other systems.
Accurately estimate time required to complete business analysis tasks and deliverables.
Collect and analyze the project’s business requirements and transfer the same knowledge to development team
Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications in the form of agile user stories and acceptance criteria, in a format suitable for automated testing
Communicate effectively with business and internal teams to deliver product’s functional requirements like screen, interface, and GUI designs.
Communicate effectively with the architect and development teams to ensure solutions are chosen that fit the capabilities of the SharePoint online platform
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years experience in a business analyst role.
Demonstrated ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs.
Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies using Agile/Scrum.
Strong Experience in writing user stories and acceptance criteria in a format suitable for automated testing
Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and web content management solutions
Basic understanding of identity management and role based access solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Demonstrated problem solving, facilitation, and customer service skills.
Highly self-motivated and flexible with focus on delivery
Demonstrated strong leadership skills
Strong understanding of business process, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Able to work effectively in a distributed team environment with little or no supervision.
