- Familiarity with Agile data management life cycle
- Knowledge of the latest technology trends in the Big Data, Enterprise Data warehousing, analytics and Pivotal Gemfire and SAP HANA
Qualifications
The Big Data Architect has good interpersonal communication and presentation skills necessary to works across lines of business with executives, product managers, operations, marketing research, and analytics teams to understand the problem-to-solve and develop insights to run and grow the business.
- Undergraduate or Masters in computer science, information management, or
- 5-6 years comparable work experience in Hadoop programming and information management
- Certification in Hadoop development using Hive, Pig, and MapReduc
- Strong aptitude, problem solving skills, written communication skills including design documentation, proof of concept and prototype analysis and documentation
- Working knowledge of Information Management, Data Warehousing Design
- 2 year of working experience with large scale Hadoop environments build and support including design, capacity planning, cluster set up, performance tuning and monitoring.
