BI Specialist, Little Ferry NJ with one of our client
6 + months contract
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology
Candidate must demonstrate strong software development skills and be able to communicate well with our team and external consultants.
5+ years of experience in T-SQL SQL Server 2008/2012 (complex Store Procedures, scripts and Functions
3+ years of experience building Data Warehouses using SSIS for SQL Server 2008/2012.
Thorough understanding of Data Warehouse architecture and data model and data marts integrations.
Excellent data analysis and data profiling experience.
Excellent documenting skills
Ability to communicate complex technical details to team, management and non-technical people.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience building QlikSense applications/visualizations is desired
Experience with Oracle environments including PL/SQL development is a plus
Experience working with WhereScape RED data warehouse automation tool is a plus
Experience building BI solutions for finance, manufacturing and distribution industry
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Complete project responsibilities including design, coding, unit testing and documentation in a timely manner and at required level of quality.
Produce technical documentation that accurately and thoroughly depicts the software design and code base that supports QA testing, deployment and production support activities.
Provide development estimates and timelines for scheduling and planning.
Brainstorm technical solutions with development team.
Define and implement data quality processes, monitor and detect data quality issues.
Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions that make business decisions efficient, actionable, trustworthy, and timely.
Design, build and implement ELT/ETL using SQL server.
Design and deliver high-quality analytics data management solutions.
Design and implement data warehousing solutions and Integrate various data marts.
Design, build and implement QlikSense applications and data visualizations.
Optimize complex stored procedures, scripts, functions and other BI components for best performance.
Participate in the design and development of B2B and A2A data interfaces.
Thrive in a team environment and able to work independently as well.
Other duties assigned by management, as needed.
