Our client, a leading financial institution, seeks a BI Reporting Developer to lead the planning, analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and control of the organization''s server-class databases.
Responsibilities include:
Consults with and advises senior management and multiple clients on high impact data or database management issues, influencing strategic direction. Handles and leads various large-scale or highly complex data/database management activities including one or more of the following: designing highly complex logical and/or physical databases; leading highly complex data modeling, mapping, integration, and capacity planning efforts; developing management policies, procedures and standards; and business requirements identification, analysis and development. Provides mentoring, guidance and general oversight to less experienced staff in a variety of database design, administration and/or modeling activities. Leads complex projects.
Qualifications:
7+ years database design and reporting development experience.
Skilled in business intelligence solution development with Microsoft SSRS (Web Reporting),SSAS (Cube), Tableau (Data Visualization), SSIS (ETL), and TFS (source control) tool.
Extensive experienced and skilled in developing database objects and ETL processes to consolidate data from multiple databases including DB2, SQL Server, SAS and Teradata.
Excellent problem solving and critical thinking, ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve the process.
Highly experienced in relational and OLAP database design and implementation.
Skilled in building calculated measures and dimension members using multi-dimensional expression (MDX Script), mathematical formulas, and user-defined functions.
Expert with marketing data and able to develop Stored Procedures, Views, Indexes, Triggers, XML in SQL Server 2014/2008 and Teradata.
Strong skills in source data research, data integrity, data validation and data analysis from various large-scale or highly complex data sources.
Ability to complete complex tasks to completion with little support.
Skills in all phases of the Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Preferred Skills:
Experience summarizing and communicating data insights and complex concepts with data visualization and reporting techniques, through presentations and dashboards/scorecards.
Experience on Agile projects/methodology/processes.
Knowledge of UNIX environment and enterprise data marts.
Knowledge of bank product and marketing data.
BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
