Job Description:
As a BI Report Developer, you will lead projects from inception and initial design, through development and testing. This includes writing SQL, designing and developing reports/ dashboards by utilizing a number of different reporting tools. You will work with all levels of the organization as well as the Business Analyst to turn requirements into reports that provide valuable insight to both external and internal clients. You will become a subject matter expert on all BI reporting systems and methodologies, as well as provide recommendations on making improvements.
Roles and Tasks:
· Document and troubleshoot problems and effectively communicate with business and technical team members at all levels
· Access and translate user requirements into reports and models
· Lead end user training within a collaborative team environment
· Provide feedback and monitor team performance
· Mentor developers
· Evaluate and recommend alternative system solution
· Investigate and resolve complex system issues across applications
· Self-lead development
· Adhere to standards and best practices
· Plan, organize and control work effort of the team
· Manage projects, technical documentation and functional testing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor''s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant work experience
· 7+ years related experience
· Excellent knowledge of database design, SQL, data warehousing
· Experience with SQL Server version 2012+ is required
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft BI technology (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
· Working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools
· Experience with dashboard solutions
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills
