Position Summary:
Directly works with internal business partners in understanding their data needs and transform
requirements into reporting/data visualization. Works independently to develop new reports and
maintain/enhance existing reports. Works with the senior leaders to identify gaps and opportunities by
running analytics on the market information and make recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs ad hoc report analysis, design and implement the solutions·
Works with business, client and technical teams to gather and define requirements, author·
concise functional/technical documentation.
Designs, develops and publishes data visualizations using Power BI integrating existing on-·
premise systems and data sources such as Data Warehouse data marts and cubes.
Acts as point of contact for junior analysts to solve queries and handle escalations.·
Works with complex queries; using specialized business technologies and applications.·
Ensures key Service Level Agreements are met.·
Performs unit testing to validate accuracy and validity of reports and data integrity.·
Provides user (business and client) training in BI reporting tools and reports as needed.·
Troubleshoots and resolves data integrity and performance issues.·
Share any new reporting, analytics and technology concepts in order to maximize user·
engagement and proficiency.
Supervise small team of onshore/offshore development and quality assurance resources to·
ensure timely delivery of all reporting solutions. Provide status and project updates
Conduct ongoing BI market tool research and evaluation, with a strong focus on the evolution of·
the Microsoft BI stack suite of tools for both cloud and on-premises analytics.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in at least 2 of the following BI Reporting Technologies (SSRS, PowerBI,·
Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire, etc
4+ years’ experience within the Microsoft stack.·
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence·
Experience guiding developers in delivering BI/Visualization dashboards and reporting.·
Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities.·
Bachelor’s degree – preference in computer/information sciences or business/commerce.·
