BI/BOBJ Developer
SUMMARY: BI Developer will work closely with BI Analyst, business users and data owners to understand reporting requirements. Develop, Analyze and Create reporting solutions at the request of business using SAP Business Objects and related tools. Assist BI Analyst in documenting and validating reporting requirements. Work with the business community, Basis, PMO, SAP functional leads to deliver these initiatives using best practices. Strong candidates will have knowledge of SAP BOBJ, HANA, data structures in SAP ECC along with good understanding of business processes and practices that the information, data structures and reports reflect. The ability to work in a team atmosphere effectively is critical.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
· Applies Lean / Six Sigma / Enterprise Process Management principles to problem solving activities and report and information creation
· Mechanics / installation of key information report requirements and maintaining models, views, tables etc.
· Operationalize Information, dashboards, reports, and interfacing information through BI.
· Leads report development, identifying true informational requirements.
· Accountability to Business Applications Manager and Business Partners
· Implement metrics based on business guidance
· Define targets, identify gaps and actions to close gaps in conjunction with development efforts
· Elevate gaps to Business Applications Manager
· Engages functional areas upstream/downstream to ensure integrated process (E2E) and metrics development along with maintaining critical business data structures in DW, BI etc.
· Responsible for creating and maintaining systematic reports in BoBJ and insuring data integration through HANA along with creating and maintaining data structures in DW.
· Assist BI Analyst in training to business user on the application and reports created.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Writing T-SQL, Stored procedures, Functions and designing the tables according to best practices.
· Limited business functional knowledge.
· SAP design knowledge for ECC, HANA and BoBJ.
· ‘Lean’ mindset, with understanding of data structures and integration.
· Track record of delivering results.
· Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
