currently seeking dynamic Business Intelligence Architect who will be responsible for product design and development, along architecture principles, supporting various Information management, data integration and business intelligence (BI) modules. IA platform is on
heterogeneous platforms and technology stacks including Windows, Linux, Mobile (ios/Android) and leverages innovative open source toolsets, cloud platforms, existing technologies and emerging techniques going forward.
This position requires collaborative internal/external consensus building skills with a proven ability to think strategically in a rapidly evolving environment, and the capacity and willingness to learn and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will be required to:
· Work closely with Business Product Leads to solicit requirements, recommend changes, create
prototypes, demo prototypes, and provide thought leadership for Hadoop & Tableau capabilities and frameworks
· Preparing technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer
· Develop and apply application architecture methodologies, standards and leading practices
· Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Lead the business in discovering value in the data using Hadoop & Tableau.
· Help develop and capture KPI39;s in the business by exploring the data
· Lead & create highly visual analytical dashboards using Tableau
· Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products
· Take ownership of major software projects, including the ability to design and develop complex system code with unit tests that works in a 99.999% uptime environment
Desired Skills:
· Solid expertise in relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and experience with NoSQL data storage technologies such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB etc
· Strong experience with cloud & on-premise BI platforms and self-service deployment on Birt, Tableau, PowerBI or others
· Experience building large-scale, high-performance systems
· Experienced in designing and developing data Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
· Proven experience delivering Business Intelligence solutions
· Strong knowledge of best practices around Dashboards and Report Visualization
· Strong familiarity with GIT, Subversion, JIRA software and change management tools
· Mastery over all tiers of web infrastructure and open source stacks like Apache, Tomcat or MySQL
· Experience using Eclipse and related IDEs / dev environments
· Some familiarity with machine learning and streaming analytics is desirable
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must enjoy working as a part of a small team that does big things
· Knowledge and experience in developing software using Agile Methodologies
· Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents
· In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling and business intelligence processes preferred.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field of study and at least 10 years of relevant work experience
· At least 8 years working with Linux/Unix/Windows operating system application development in business intelligence domain
· At least 5+ years of Application development experience through full lifecycle using ETL tools and proven track record of implementation and delivery of ETL Application.
· Thorough knowledge and hands on experience in following technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Unix, Java & Tableau
· 5+ years of experience overall within design and development of BI reporting and analytics
· A strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, demanding environment
