BI Analyst
Philadelphia, PA

Contract to Hire
Face to Face interview
Need at least 2 of these, not all required:
· Familiarity with SQL & Data Architecture of relational database modeling
· Financial industry experience – understand business practices (helpful, not mandatory)
· Experience with analytics platforms such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAP, and SAS
· Certifications or degrees in similar field.
Position Description:
· Use the techniques of a Data Scientist, applied statistics, or mathematician to analyze data and build dashboards and visualizations
· Analyze the business needs and objectives and formulate strategy in order to design and maintain complex BI dashboards, reports, queries, and applications
· Find relationships in the data to target opportunities for revenue growth, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation
· Meet with customers to understand business problems and questions in order to model data driven platforms
· Collaborate with BI Architects to design, implement, and support BI tools
· Communicate with senior management and enterprise staff regarding resources facilitating data-driven decision making
Required Skills:
· 5+ years’ experience at a Broker/Dealer, or Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer, or a Data Scientist with financial investment background
· Familiarity with Data Warehousing, analytics and reporting tools, and Microsoft SQL
· Excellent technical documentation skills
· Familiarity with database construction and data modeling
· Strong knowledge with Microsoft Excel
· Excellent communication skills
Bonus Skills:
· Knowledge of Thomson Reuters BETA platform
· Prior BI Analytics experience
· Certifications in BI applications such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, SAP, SAS, and R
· Financial industry certifications such as CFP, Series 7, etc.
