Position: BI Analyst

Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing business information needs to recommend appropriate solutions for information access and analysis. Will analyze business activities, business processes, and data sources to determine how to provide the required information for business decision making. Provide expertise in business processes analysis, understand the organization''s systems and available data, captures reporting and analytics information requirements, and translates those requirements into functional specifications for reports, dashboards, and self-service information delivery. Experience in data visualization, discovery, and presentation design. Possesses an understanding of business intelligence (BI) technologies and uses that knowledge to bring solutions to the business as well as educate the DW/BI team on the direction of the business.
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or any business related field
5+ years of practical experience as a DW/BI Business Analyst working on a variety of projects in a variety of industries
Extensive experience gathering, documenting, and managing business information requirements
Understanding of business analysis vs. data analysis, including best principles and practices
Extensive experience and knowledge on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts, principles, design guidelines, and techniques
Possesses excellent analytical, problem solving and process skills
Hands-on knowledge and experience with methodical disciplined legacy reporting system analysis, consolidation, and rationalization
Experience in designing data visualization, analysis, discovery, and presentation solutions (BI solutions)
Exceptional communications skills; verbal, written, and presentation.
Experience advocating Incremental, Iterative, Agile methodology for analytical solution development
Strong SQL knowledge
Experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos, or MicroStrategy a big plus
