Description:
We are immediately looking for an Azure Devops Engineer Engineer to build automation for our client''s new cloud-based product as well as legacy on-premise based software products.
Responsibilities
Using Powershell to develop and enhance automation suite for deployment, configuration and monitoring of our software products: cloud-based (Azure) and on-premise products (running on MS Server infrastructure)
Support existing build and release workflows running in Visual Studio Team Services
Work with development teams to drive DevOps-based process improvement
Troubleshoot and fix build/test/deployment issues
Engage with Engineering leadership to anticipate/help shape future requirements
Identity and implement new tools/processes to maximize quality throughout the release pipeline
Advise development teams on infrastructure-related matters (on-premises/cloud/hybrid cloud scenarios)
Required Experiences and Skills
MUST: 5+ years experience using Powershell to develop QA automation scripts
MUST: Comprehensive understanding of software engineering principles (esp. build, test and deployment)
MUST: Strong scripting skills in PowerShell is essential
MUST: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure
MUST: Proven experience with a major virtualization platform (preferably Hyper-V/SCVMM)
MUST: Some system administration background for the Windows Server ecosystem
MUST: Some experience with Active Directory, DNS and IIS
MUST: Understanding of networking fundamentals such as firewalls, routing and addressing
DESIRED: Experience with C#
DESIRED: Experience working with PowerShell Desired State Configuration
Excellent communication and strong application-level problem solving skills
Comfortable working across functional areas and with multiple product teams
Bachelors degree in CS/Eng
