Job Description :
We are seeking a talented, proactive and enthusiastic Azure “heavy” with at least two years of experience developing and architecting solutions in Azure. This position will play a key role in building a Cloud platform for one of our major clients.

This position serves as a Microsoft Azure Principal Architect and subject matter expert. The role works directly with managers, architects, engineers, developers, and customers providing hands on technical cloud solutions. The position requires hands-on technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure cloud environment. The role will also work to ensure the engineered solutions in Microsoft Azure are compatible and consistent with other public, private, or hybrid cloud solutions (where possible) and consistent with customer architecture requirements. This position will bring real world Microsoft Azure engineering and solution experience and will function as part of a highly skilled, agile development and architecture team supporting major government cloud programs.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to design, analyse requirements, architecture and roadmap of new and exciting features that take advantage of Azure services
Consult, run proof of concepts and advise the best use of Azure services to solve current challenges
Educate stakeholders about Azure’s services and potential
Mentor and share knowledge with the team so we can all grow
The usual design/develop/test/release in a continuous delivery fashion
Work with team members both at the office or remotely with other locations
Performs cloud systems modelling, simulation, and analysis.
Reviews completion and implementation of cloud system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
Plans and directs upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
Develops documentation on new or existing cloud systems.
Identifies, analyses, and resolves system problems.
Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced cloud systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.
Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (i.e. Microsoft Azure
Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
At least 7+ years of experience in software development life cycle for Microsoft projects.
At least 3+ years’ operating, optimizing and administering a cloud platform like Azure
At least 2+ years of experience with leading operations related to Platform as a Service (PAAS) Cloud platforms like Azure
Working Experience with Active Directory and Kerberos authentication
Experience with PowerShell or Azure ARM templates.
Experience working in a geographically distributed team, and managing such resources.
Ability to work in a collaborative working environment as an operational extension of Engineering, fast paced and with a high rate of change.
Microsoft Azure certification preferred

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
