*Aviation Data Analyst*

*Location: SantlarA*

*3-6 months+*

- Lot of radar data from air traffic control facility around the
country. Datoming in and streaming in this data. Using our in-house
proprietary tool MS excel using this tool to analyze the data. Good
knowledge of working in excel.
- Some Aviation background or strong interest in aviation. Any degree in
related field.
- Visualization software put all the aircraft data in that. Understand
air traffic application.
- Simulation software to access clients in airport client.
- Projects done in school in analyzing data using excel is great.
Looking for spreadsheet but advanced.
- Aviation data
- Good understanding of air traffic operations.
- VBA, Perl, Python experience is must have. Lot of scripts are created
in Perl.
- R programming helps.
- Experience in air traffic control or as pilot.
- Ideally programming as well as air traffic background. If they have
air traffic background then the client will teach Excel.
- 3 to 5 years experience.
Client has an opening for an Aviation Data Analyst. This is a mid-level
position and will be located at Headquarters in Santlara, California.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in aviation and a solid technical
background. Training for this position will be provided. The successful
candidate will participate in the analysis of aviation-related data.

Responsibilities will include:

Quantitative and qualitative analysis of air traffic data
Application of visualization software to understand air traffic
Use of simulation software to assist clients with analysis of
airport/airspace operations
Development and deployment of aviation performance reports
Aviation data verification and validation
Calibration and troubleshooting of data processing algorithms
Presentation and briefing development
Onsite support of FAA users/customers.
6:00 a.m. start time

A background check will be required for this position.
Possibility of travel to be around 50%.

Required attributes include:
ollege degree in the area of operations research, systems
engineering, aerospace engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field
Ability to conduct engineering and planning analysis
Good PC applications skills with office tools including Excel,
PowerPoint and Word
Good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal
relations skills
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency

Desirable attributes include:

PC programming experience (VBA, Perl, and Python)
A statistics background (R, Shiny)
Experience in air traffic control systems or as a
private/commercial/military pilot.
