General Description:
Responsibilities:
Adhering to SLAs
Reporting to the Track Lead / Team Lead
Helping team members in case of Issues/Technical Problems
Handling tickets / requests
Troubleshooting technical issues
Responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration
Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
Implementing Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support
Applying patches/upgrades to maintain security level
Technical Requirements:
Monitoring and optimization of the performance Backup environment.
Liaise and work with hardware/software vendors.
Maintenance of Avamar capacity & availability.
Backup, restore operations and Avamar replication responsibility.
Backup client configuration and troubleshooting through MCS.
Trouble Avamar related issues.
Provide assistance to various infrastructure teams.
Update necessary documents on regular basis (SOPs, Trend, Handover, daily, weekly and monthly reports
Knowledge on Architecture of Avamar & other backup tools.
Knowledge of EMC DPA.
Develop Team members and guide them.
Develop Best practices for backup and automated task.
Familiar with datacenter best practices.
Installing and configuring backup devices and objects.
New technology awareness and research skills are necessary.
Analysis of basic on backup technology and related tasks.
Relevant: Minimum 6 Years relevant working knowledge of Enterprise-class EMC products working knowledge of Enterprise-class backup tools e.g. Netbackup.
