IT/AV Engineer Position
Description: The Audio Video Support department is seeking an IT/ Audio Video Engineer. The selected candidate will manage the support of day-to-day video conferencing and help plan, develop, and implement our companys in-house video conferencing systems and Telepresence systems. Partner with senior members the AV/IT and VIP Support Team to ensure all corporate video conferencing and A/V environments are operating at optimal levels at all times.
Job Duties
Manage Support Staff for audio and video conferencing and Telepresence meetings throughout the environment.
Provide technical support escalation and problem resolution for video conferencing equipment and escalate to A/V vendors as required.
Manage pro-active maintenance of the AV equipment in conference rooms(Preventive Maintenance bi-weekly reports)
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance video conferencing services to internal and external customers.
Monitor and oversight of systems management platforms to identify potential problems, mitigate risk
Support Digital signage management platforms (Appspace and Brightsign a plus)
Help the Technology Build team test/document the new conference room technologies.
Assist support staff and clients with company/personally owned devices and PC/s, MACS connect to network and external displays in a conference room setting when required.
Be early for all scheduled commitments, start times are to be treated as on-air or ready to work.
Requirements
Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience supporting/managing AV equipment (Cisco, Polycom, Lifesize, Tandburg video conferencing, Crestron DM and DSP with/and pro audio integration devices)
Creston DMD-D-4K Certified, CTS certified, (CTS-I or CTS-D certs preferred) All industry and MFG Certs are a Plus.
Windows and Mac platforms , with knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and LAN/WAN topologies is a plus
Extensive knowledge of latest IP audio, USB and wireless protocols for both audio and video
Familiarity with live sound and pro audio equipment assemblies and connections required for commercial and pro audio environments
Knowledge of troubleshooting general media related PC issues
Knowledge of live video and audio production/recording/streaming equipment a plus
