Description:
Day-to-day responsibility will vary but the PM should plan on overseeing various long-term, short-term and ad hoc projects/request.
This PM role is focused on improving performance, primarily through the thorough analysis of existing business problems, project management and the programs for improvement. Also, this role supports initiatives related to strategy development and overall operations. Simply said, your success is empowering department''s scientist to do what they do best – science.
Our ideal candidate enjoys tackling a problem with optimism and a skillful thought process, prefers a busy day to a slow day, and excels at organizing information from numerous sources.
Requirements:
Can-do attitude; does not easily give up – this candidate will be provided direction and support but will need to be methodical and analytical when completing tasks – Client is a very large organization, there will be a lot of parties the candidate will need to engage for project success.
Be comfortable, with being uncomfortable - Identifies a problem (he/she can’t stop here), identifies possible solutions & partners with teams on selecting one – the end goal will be known but all the steps in-between may not be known form the starting point, the candidate will need to work through these and not get flustered.
Positive Attitude/Energy; does not wear his/her heart on his/her sleeve - This role will deal with Client employees from around the world. This candidate must approach each one of them with a positive attitude regardless of the situation. In summary, this candidate must be a do-er - having the right attitude can get you through almost all situations
Proven experience as a member and leader of a high performing cross-functional teams; 4+ years’ experience in biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry AND / OR Big Four Consulting.
Display a pragmatic, consultative approach combined with familiarity in project management; must have demonstrated decision-making skills.
Ability to travel: Domestic and International ~5-15%.
Preferred Qualifications/ Education:
Advanced degree in science, engineering, or business (MBA Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Familiarity with Client processes OR biopharma experience (understands different functional areas and manufacturing processes
