Specific Responsibilities and Skills

The Argus Developer role engages with IT and business for the Argus migration activities

Essential Duties and Job Functions

Conduct user requirement gathering for Argus migration and transform user requirements to functional requirements leading into migration and system design.
Develop business process workflow diagrams and system level logical/physical architecture diagrams.
Analyse, follow up and bring closure to technical issues.
Works with IT Validation lead to analyse and resolve technical deviations identified during validation qualification.
Formulates options including assessing their relative merits and risks and works with respective stakeholders to determine the best solution.
Can readily re-apply technical and business insights to new situations.
Develop, review and perform execution of installation procedures and installation qualification documents.
Develop migration plan, migration design specification and operational procedure documents.
Develop and update system configuration as per the required migration requirements.
Conducts, provides and is accountable for the accuracy of project work estimates.
Understands and performs validation activities in accordance with compliance requirements (GDPs or CFR 21 Part 11 Aware of when regulatory issues are applicable and whom to engage to address any concerns.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Argus Specific must have knowledge: Advanced Conditions, Reporting Rules, Workflow Rules, E2B, ESM Profiles, Functions, Post Save procedures, Argus Database structure.
Prior experience with Safety database migrations is a must.
Experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL skills is a must.
Prior experience with migration tools (other than PL/SQL coding) is a plus.
Prior experience with Argus installation and database upgrade is a plus.
Strong business and technology acumen; solid understanding of general IT services, processes, measures and related capabilities.
Experience interfacing with Business Owners to gather requirements, develop and configure the systems is required.
Working knowledge of Drug Safety business processes in a regulated/pharmaceutical environment.
Good understanding of database design and principles, system analysis and troubleshooting skills is required.
Experience configuring Disaster Recovery for applications is desirable.
Understanding and working experience of supporting Safety database or document management in a regulated/pharmaceutical environment will be a plus.
Exposure with Computer System Validation and GDPs Compliance will be a plus. Ability to analyse complex business problems and evaluate solutions. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Highly organized, results-oriented and attentive to details.
6 to 8+ years’ experience preferred with BS/BA/ MS/MA .
