Application Engineer
JD:
The role is primarily based on Java and associated Web Technologies, architecture and framework
Participate [Or] lead in any discussions related to the upgrade of client systems as necessary.
Understand and develop a methodology of receiving vendor code/media and install/configure them in various environments.
Understand Data Flow between the various systems. Collaborate with client SMEs and build environments conducive to development work or system functional testing as necessary.
Work closely with Client Application Engineers, product vendors and support team to troubleshoot applications during the build process in various environments.
Write Client SDLC documents as necessary. Examples can be [but not limited to] - Functional Specification documents, Technical Architecture and Design documents, Installation Instructions or Qualification documents.
Write Architecture Diagrams and Data Flow diagrams as necessary.
Develop familiarity with Client Business Technology (BT) processes and work closely with BT teams to build and deploy environments as necessary.
On a weekly or bi-weekly basis, update Client AE, SMEs and Architects on the progress of the various projects.
