The ODMS Data Integration team delivers data integration and data management solutions to meet the needs of Enterprise Business Units and Client-Health Spring Markets.
The Role
The App Development Specialist role has three major components:
1) Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective application programming solution.
2) Develops, Documents, and Follows Standard coding practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Development team members within the ODMS data integration team will be responsible for the following:
Translates functional requirements in to data integration and data management solutions using the available tool sets (MS SQL, Teradata, Informatica, Hadoop) Designs, new or modified code development, tests, debugs, and documents programs Conducts development work required in a comprehensive manner consistent with our best practices and standards Coordinates with systems analyst and other developers on technical delivery Proactively learn ways to improve systems, reducing costs and maximizing opportunities
The ideal candidate will have all of the following qualifications:
Self-driven and able to function with minimal direction from Team Lead or Manager Has the ability to engage business and data stakeholders to resolve questions or issues Must have the ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Must be a quick learner and a team player Life cycle data solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of solid, diverse work experience in IT with a minimum of two
3+ years'' experience with data integration and ETL technologies
Intermediate to advanced Teradata, Informatica ETL and MS SQL skills. Hadoop knowledge a Plus.
Logical reasoning and attention to detail skills Experience with Medicare / Medicaid
