Description:
Our client in the Philadelphia, PA area is looking for an Angular Software Engineer for a 6 month+ contract with extensions.
We are searching for an energetic, detail oriented, and experienced UI web designer/developer to join our team. The Software Engineer will actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) through a disciplined, predictable and repeatable software development process.
Required Skills
3+ years strong, broad based Angular experience with a wide variety of libraries
jQuery, Bootstrap, ExtJS/Sencha Architect (preferred)
Solid JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
A background in graphic design with UI/UX skills is preferred
Experience with client- or server-side MVC and MVVM patterns, AJAX, JSON, Restful services
Experience with JavaScript unit testing framework Jasmine, JSUnit etc.
Familiar with test runner Karma and JavaScript code quality tool JSHint or JSlint.
Familiarity with management tools like Grunt ,Gulp, Bower, Sencha CMD, webpack and Maven is a plus
POSITION DUTIES
As a UI web designer/developer, participates in design, implementation and maintenance of custom applications or large scale enhancements to web applications, provides on-going production and maintenance support along with participating in smaller scale enhancements to the corporate applications.
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
Provide front-end implementation to support the user experience and follow best practices and standards for accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
Engage in requirement specification process for new software functionality.
Ensure all front-end code is maintainable, scalable, and testable.
Write front-end code in compliance with web and mobile standards for cross-browser and -platform compatibility.
Conduct usability testing.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
The ability to create scalable web applications with a strong UI focus
Strong hands-on experience as a front-end developer working through the design, development, testing, release cycle and delivering software products
Strong working knowledge with Object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and Implementation
Proven strong analytical design and trouble-shooting skills
Experience in front-end debugging and optimization
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated, self-managed.
Team-player, action & results-focused.
