Position Description
This position is for a Senior User Interface Developer for New York location. The charter of this team is to develop Client-facing Websites and Mobile Applications. Working as a member of this team, the candidate will be responsible for developing and supporting external client facing web applications. The Development tech lead is a hands-on role and is responsible for analyzing user specifications and requirements and providing assistance in coding, testing and debugging applications.
The candidate is expected to code, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of the SDLC. The candidate may also be called on to provide technical, troubleshooting and design guidance to other application development teams.
The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable and excellent team player. The candidate is expected to work with teams that consist of web application and web services developers. The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team, sometimes across multiple time zones. The candidate may be assigned to more than one role or project at a time. The candidate will be required to take ownership of applications, or application components within the client websites and ensure delivery of the same through his/her team.
The candidate should be an expert in web development and JavaScript Technologies. He or she should have at least 8+ years of application development. Exposure or experience to web development is required and mobile web development will be considered an added bonus.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work with under supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development
- Must have a thorough understanding of web technologies and web architectures
- Strong Information Taxonomy/Architecture design skills
- Strong knowledge of CSS, HTML5, Modular JavaScript/OOP and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience in AngularJS 2.0 is a must. Experience with CSS utilities such as LESS, SASS, Twitter Bootstrap and Compass, and JavaScript libraries like Angular, Underscore and Coffee Script, is a plus
- Developing Wireframes, site maps and process flows for site architecture
- 5+ years'' experience creating/consuming web services and data
Skills Desired
- Working experience with Agile methodologies would be useful
- Prior work on Client facing websites in the banking/brokerage industry a plus
- Experience exposing internet websites on mobile devices, or comprehensive knowledge of mobile application development
