Complete Description:

Virginia Tax is looking for an experienced senior level Angular developer to work to assist the in-house team with rewriting our Individual Tax web application.

In addition to strong Angular skills, the developer must have experience setting up and establishing a solid application stack and coding foundation using industry best practices. The developer needs to be willing to mentor and advise the in-house team as they gain experience with Angular.


1) 7+ years in a front end development role
2) Portfolio or samples of past work and projects
3) Strong knowledge and experience with Angular 4 or higher developing complex web applications: Angular 6 is preferred
4) Experience with advanced Angular concepts like Observables, Routes, State/ngrx and HttpsRequests/RESTful calls
5) Experience developing responsive web applications using HTML5, JavaScript ES6, CSS3, Bootstrap v3 and/or v4, Electron framework and consuming web services.
6) Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for coding and overall application architecture
7) Solid grasp and understanding of SPA programming model
8) Good understanding of web browser optimization techniques and browser compatibility testing
9) Experience with build and deployment strategies for development, test and production environments
10) Knowledge of unit testing techniques
11) Willingness to mentor and advise in-house team and provide knowledge transfer
12) Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with designers, developers, functional architects and other relevant staff members or clients
13) Ability to interpret and implement application and feature designs from prototypes and sketches
14) Good sense of UI design and UX concepts
15) Knowledge of full stack development utilizing one or more OO platforms such as Java or .Net
16) Familiarity of the general web development and deployment process, with an emphasis on front end design and development practices
