Position: Android Developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborating with UX, design, product management and engineering to help define and implement innovative solutions.
Working knowledge of general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies.
Participate in evaluation and adoption efforts, including proof-of-concept and proof-of-technology
Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
Experienced with Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD automation pipelines
Work closely with Business analyst to translate business requirements into timely and robust technical solutions
Participate in and understand the full mobile application development life-cycle, from concept to publishing apps in the store
Overall accountability for the delivery of the solution design and deliverables.
Develop robust Android applications as part of a team using Android Studio.
Work with designers to ensure the designed interfaces are implemented correctly.
Ensure we comply with best practices for user interface development, including accessibility and internationalization/localization.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically related field.
5+ years of software development experience.

Technical Skills:
3+ years of mobile apps development and testing experience on Android
2+ years of experience building REST based APIs.
1+ years of experience in working with automotive head unit or embedded development. Carpad (android based) device experience preferred.
Experience with authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, etc) and authorization of APIs and security best practices
Strong comprehension of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle, Source Control systems, and Configuration Management.
Strong comprehension of web services, HTTP protocol, and service-oriented architecture.
Strong knowledge of concurrency and multithreaded programming techniques on Android platforms.
Strong knowledge of “Clean Code” development techniques and S.O.L.I.D. OOP design principles.
Strong comprehension of high availability, multi-tier, mission critical and fault-tolerant system design.
Strong comprehension of MVC and/or MVVM design patterns.
Extensive knowledge of responsive and adaptive native mobile UI development techniques: Fragments on Android.
Solid experience with Android UI components and best practices developing for multi-screen apps.
Mid-level knowledge of database fundamentals and data persistence techniques.
Experience with AWS cloud related technology API Gateway, Lambdas, etc a big plus
