Job summary:
This role is responsible for validating data and metric calculations within our new data solution. This includes comparisons of the calculations to our standard metric definitions and comparisons of the data and data filters to our existing solution. This person would be responsible for testing multiple scenarios to validate that the metrics are performing as expected and would also be working closely with our Scrum teams to troubleshoot or explore the metrics in more detail as needed.
Requirements:
SQL
Agile/Scrum methodologies
3+ years proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred:
Familiarity with Hadoop and Hive
BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Experience programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
