Job Description:
1.The role of coaches is not simply to provide answers but to ask the right questions so that the person or team can learn and enhance their knowledge base and respond with an appropriate answer or activity.
2.A consultative, instructive, and training-oriented approach is more appropriate with Agile teams that are experiencing their first Agile project.
3.The Agile coach approach needs to be modified for each team situation and for each team''s level of understanding and maturity with the processes and practices.
4.Most importantly, an Agile coach must quickly assess the level of client consideration and expectation with regard to adopting industry best practices and should be prepared to adapt to the client environment.
The Agile coaching services provided by the Contractor shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, such areas as:
-Delivery of targeted training and coaching to introduce and support the development of skills in Agile practices for project teams, management, and other key stakeholders;
-Providing teams with ongoing support during Sprints to accelerate their learnings, overcome obstacles, customize solutions to meet their needs, and dispel common myths;
-Integrating Agile practices for project management into the Project Management Office (PMO)/portfolio project management framework and tool kit;
-Development and implementation of an Agile Software Development process to support the ongoing maintenance and operation of the Project;
-Providing an enterprise view of Agile topics and integration points with service management, project and portfolio management, and operational management;
-Informing and educating key stakeholders on Agile topics;Developing and conducting training on Agile topics and the Agile Software Development process; and Leading by example and modeling the Agile practices, including becoming engaged as a Scrum Master, as needed.
Mandatory Qualifications (MQs)
1. At least five (5) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) experience working on an Agile Software Development project(s) in the last ten (10) years, in the role of a Scrum Master or Agile coach/trainer.
2. At least three (3) years of Agile coaching FTE experience in the last five (5) years.
3. At least three (3) years of FTE experience using either scrum or a scaled Agile framework (e.g., Disciplined Agile Delivery, Large Scale Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework
4. At least two (2) years of FTE experience in the past five (5) years using estimating models (e.g., Fibonacci estimating, scrum poker, status) for large or complex Agile development projects.
5. At least one (1) of the following certifications:
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
Scrum Coach Accredited Certification from International Scrum Institute (not Scrum Alliance)
International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile) Certified Professional – Agile Coaching
Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC)
Certified Scrum Trainer (CST)
Certified Team Coach (CTC)
