Mercer University’s Department of Mathematics, Science, and Informatics is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach graduate health informatics courses during the academic year and summer terms. Classes are offered during evenings in an online live and interactive format over an 8 week session.

We have immediate availability for Spring 2018 to teach courses in:
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Technologies in Health Informatics (HI) and Interoperability Standard
Healthcare Data Management
Evidence Based Decision Making and Clinical Knowledge Management (KM)

Other courses offered in the program include: Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) and Tele-health in Health Informatics; Healthcare Informatics Risk Assessment and Ethics; Healthcare IT Project Management; Informatics for Healthcare Systems; Research Methods in Health Informatics; Healthcare Software Requirements Specification and System Analysis and Design.

Qualifications:
Required:
a. Earned doctoral degree in informatics, information systems, information technology from a regionally accredited institution;
b. 18 graduate credit hours in informatics, information systems, information technology, public health informatics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university;
c. Residency in the state of Georgia.
Preferred:
a. University teaching experience, especially with working adult learners;
b. Experience with online course delivery.
