Job Description :
We are currently engaged with a client seeking an Accountant. In this role, the Accountant will
* Perform account reconciliation, and journal entries assigned for monthly closing, and other duties as assigned.
* Prepares monthly journal entries and account reconciliation
* Maintain fixed assets which entail posting, balancing, depreciation journal entries, updating the reconciliations.
* Prepare portions of the monthly financial statements and memos, as well as other schedules as needed.
* Effectively communicates with directors and managers; this includes interaction regarding questions on actual results.
* Prepare schedules for year-end and interim audit work and assists independent auditors as needed during year end audit fieldwork.
* Maintain established policies & procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
* Develop new processes/procedures to improve quality, efficiency and customer service.
The appropriate individual with have the following qualifications:
* Degree in accounting, finance, or business; or a two-year associate + multiple years of equivalent related work experience.
* Moderate knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to research moderately to highly complex accounting issues to solve problems.
* Extensive skill in general office software, such as Excel, Word, Office Outlook, Titan, BNA, etc. Basic skill in Access, FRX, and ability to learn new software.
