Job Description :
We are looking for a candidate who should be able to work with the Technical Architects and BI lead to document scope, tasks, risks, dependencies and mitigation plans, create and update support documentation and review of work product, establish and continuously enhance SOPs for all aspects of database operations for a federal customer in GSA
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Implementation and administration of AWS Redshift and AWS RDS Aurora, Postgres, MySQL and MS SQL server infrastructure
Automate provisioning, monitoring of the database infrastructure
Experience in setting up AWS RDS based HA clusters
Cluster maintenance including administrating, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
Provide consistent database maintenance, optimization and best practices inputs to existing Redshift, and SQL databases and applications
Experience in DR planning and execution with RPO/RTO objectives and SLAs
Experience with SQL and/or any ETL rools such as SAP DS, Pentaho PDI, Alteryx, Apache NiFi
Required Skills:
8+ years of work experience, with a minimum of 2 yrs with AWS Redshift or AWS RDS Aurora, Postgres, mySQL, with at least 2 full lifecycle database implementations
2+ years in SQL analysis, development and troubleshooting activities, including data warehousing, analytical applications development and support
2+ years of enterprise database operations experience as primary DBA
Linux BASH/shell scripting skills are expected
AWS CLI basics and experience to work and administer AWS RDS and Redshift via AWS CLI is expected
Demonstrated understanding of data modeling and strong data analysis skills
Ability to work under challenging deadlines and constraints, to deliver
Desired Skills:
Hands on development with either Scala or Python
Functional experience in government related business around acquisition and contracts
Technically strong, R&D oriented working with motivation for self-driven learning will be an advantage
Experience with or exposure to CI/CD tools such as Puppet, Chef and/or Ansible is an advantage
Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
