The ideal candidate will develop and implement new technical solutions as well as maintain and enhance existing systems. They will create and support solutions with internal systems, other technology teams across the company, and key external vendor applications. This individual will thrive in an intellectually challenging environment, solve problems and work with team members to create high quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for solutions involving multiple partner teams
Responsible for full end to end solution and integration design
Develop maintainable code via proper structure, comments, and design
Research and prototype innovative solutions, while providing recommendations for existing system improvements
Share knowledge and solutions with team/partners
Participate in rotational on-call support role for team developed and owned services
Work closely with team members and business partners to solve technical and business problems using technology
Clearly and thoroughly document, and communicate to team and business partners.
Work with business, infrastructure and security teams on delivering any enhancements and bug fixes for production systems.
Collaborate and provide mentorship with team members for continuous improvement in an Agile environment
Qualifications
?Minimum 8 years of experience developing software solutions in a complex enterprise environment.
?Our applicants should have a strong grasp of multiple tech stacks and core infrastructure services -
?Very strong scripting skills (i.e. powershell, bash)
?Very strong experience with development languages: Python, Java, node.js, Perl
Experience with public cloud infrastructure (example: AWS EC2 instances, S3, Redshift, RDS, Lambda) familiar with the use and function of these products from the perspective of integrating to collect metrics and data
?Familiarity with virtualization, networking, storage, security, load balancing, databases to productively engage with partner engineers in those areas
?Developing REST API’s
?Data warehousing, understanding of data structure, metrics and data collection, extract, transform, load, BI stack
?Experience with metrics and data collection
?Emphasis on collecting metrics to provide deep visibility on systems and services
Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
