Role : AWS Engineer
Location : Either Mountain View, CA or San Diego, CA
Duration : Long Term
Total Experience : 10+ Years
Primary Skills : AWS, EC2, ALB, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, IAM, Python, Maven, Jenkins
Skills
Must Have:
Experience working with following AWS services at the minimum:
EC2
ALB
DynamoDB
S3
Lambda
IAM
Strong Hands on Experience with creating and using clis in Python and Shell scripts ( Java is an added bonus)
Knowledge about creating and using RPMs
Experience with Maven, Nexus, Jenkins
Good communication skills. Must be able to manage multiple customers patiently and resolve issues without friction.
Must be good with troubleshooting. Should be able to setup and use the right monitoring, alerting, logging systems in addition to looking at new issues that do not have data in these systems.
Basic understanding of Continuous Delivery and Deployment practices in AWS
Should be a self-starter, quick learner, self-motivated and able to run independently with minimum supervision
Nice to have:

Good knowledge on Docker and Containerizing Applications.
Knowledge of Spinnaker is an added bonus
Knowledge in or basic understanding of the following
Cloud Watch
Terraform
JavaScript
VPCs, Security Groups
Understanding of common issues with AWS like API throttling, region support etc.
Understanding of SSL/SSO/RBAC
